I have a short presentation coming up soon which I’m pretty excited about, discussing the role of health librarians in the delivery of evidence-based information. This is a snazzy infographic that I made for it.
There have been some interesting debates lately about continued relevance of evidence-based practice, especially in light of the growing commercialization of research (think big pharma). I thought this debate put on by McMaster University’s Health Forum did a good job of highlighting some of the things we need to keep in mind when it comes to evidence-based practice. What are your thoughts on evidence-based practice, and the role of librarians in participating in the process? I’d love to hear your comments or thoughts on the issue.
